His Beatitude Archbishop Anastasios of Albania has been hospitalized at “Evangelismos” for the sixth consecutive day, receiving intensive care.
His health condition is critical, as reported by ERT, with doctors closely monitoring him under the direction of Professor Anastasia Kotanidou, a specialist in Pulmonology and Intensive Care.
Archbishop Anastasios was initially admitted to a hospital in Tirana on December 30 due to a viral infection, which later deteriorated, leading to his transfer to Athens on January 3.
Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis and Archbishop Ieronymos of Athens have visited Archbishop Anastasios at the hospital, receiving updates on his health condition from Professor Kotanidou.
Additional visits were made by the Minister of Education and Religious Affairs, Mr. Kyriakos Pierrakakis, and the President of SYRIZA-PS, Sokratis Famellos, to inquire about Archbishop Anastasios’ progress.
