On Sunday, 16 June 2024, at the Church of Saint Nicholas of the Ecumenical Patriarchate in Athens, Greece, a Memorial Service for the repose of the soul of the Late Metropolitan Sotirios of Pisidia took place. Metropolitan Sotirios, originally from Korea (1929-2022), was honored and remembered during the service.
The Divine Liturgy and the holy Memorial Service were led by Metropolitan Theodoritos of Laodicea, who serves as the Director of the Representative Office of the Ecumenical Patriarchate in Athens.
Attendees at the Divine Liturgy and Memorial Service included Members and friends of the Society of Mediterranean Culture and the Patriarchal Foundation of the Orthodox Missionary works in the Far East. Many believers also gathered to pay their respects and honor the memory of the late Metropolitan Sotirios.
