Metropolitan Iakovos of Ireland led the Hierarchical Divine Liturgy at the Parish Church of Saint Anastasios in Nafplio on Palm Sunday, April 28, 2024.
The day was marked by the priest distributing Vagia, symbolizing Christ’s triumphant entry into Jerusalem. At the Church of Saint Anastasios, the Metropolitan of Ireland distributed intricately woven Corfiot palm branches, forming a cruciform shape and adorned with olive, rosemary, and sage.
Following the Divine Liturgy, Fr. Konstantinos Oikonomou, the priest of the Church, expressed gratitude to Metropolitan Iakovos of Ireland for presiding over the service at the Church of Saint Anastasios, the patron saint of Nafplio.
During the Divine Liturgy, he directed a choir led by protopsaltis Konstantinos Routoulas.
