On Sunday, Metropolitan Ioannis of Korçë was unanimously elected the new Archbishop of Tirana, Durres and all Albania by the Holy Synod of the Orthodox Autocephalous Church of Albania. Patriarch Daniel sent a congratulatory message on this occasion.
Patriarch Daniel of Romania congratulated Archbishop Ioannis and wished him many blessed years in serving the Orthodox people of Albania, seeking help from God in all his endeavors.
