Conclusion
As we reflect on the Sunday of the Last Judgment, we are reminded of the importance of living a life of compassion and service to others. The parable of the sheep and the goats teaches us that our actions towards those in need are a direct reflection of our love for Christ. Let us strive to show love and kindness to all we encounter, knowing that in doing so, we are serving Christ Himself.
May we take this time of preparation before Great Lent to examine our hearts and repent of any sins or shortcomings. Let us turn back to God with sincerity and humility, seeking His forgiveness and mercy. And may we always remember that God is both a God of love and righteousness, and that one day we will all stand before Him in judgment. Let us live each day with love and compassion, knowing that our actions have eternal consequences.
May we not be consumed by the fire, O Judge of all, but may we hear the voice of the righteous inviting us to the joy of Thy house, saying, “Enter, O faithful servants, into the joy of your Lord.” For Thou art the lover of mankind. Lord, please regenerate me and save me from the eternal fire. Grant me the grace to stand by Your side, O righteous Judge. Amen.
