Patriarch Kirill of Moscow and All Russia congratulated Patriarch Porfirije of Serbia on the anniversary of his election and enthronement as the Primate of the Serbian Orthodox Church.
In his message, Patriarch Kirill referred to Patriarch Porfirije as a “beloved brother and fellow celebrant at the altar of God,” recognizing his important role in guiding the Church of Saint Sava. He mentioned that Patriarch Porfirije was chosen by divine providence to lead the Patriarchal Throne of Peć, with the mission of spreading the Gospel, healing spiritual wounds, and uniting the faithful in faith and love.
Patriarch Kirill commended the dedicated service of the Serbian Patriarch, highlighting his efforts to ensure that “the Lord Jesus Christ, the True Light that enlightens every person who comes into the world (John 1:9), reigns in the hearts of the clergy and laity under his care with grace and love.”
On this significant occasion, Patriarch Kirill offered his prayers, wishing Patriarch Porfirije “good health, spiritual happiness, and unwavering divine support for many peaceful and blessed years of patriarchal ministry.”
