Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew has sent a congratulatory letter to the newly elected President of the Hellenic Republic, Konstantinos Tasoulas, extending his warmest wishes on his appointment to the country’s highest state office.
In his message, the Ecumenical Patriarch expressed his confidence in President Tasoulas’ ability to fulfill his high duties for the prosperity and progress of the Greek people. “We are certain, Your Excellency, that you will carry out your high responsibilities for the well-being and advancement of the beloved Greek people. You will serve as a symbol of national unity and solidarity with the same dedication and responsibility you demonstrated during your nearly six-year tenure as President of the Hellenic Parliament,” the Patriarch wrote.
He further assured the new President of the blessings of the Mother Church of Constantinople and his personal prayers for the success of his mission. “May the blessings of the Mother Church of Constantinople and our prayers accompany you for the fulfillment of your sacred mission.”
Konstantinos Tasoulas was recently elected as the 9th President of the Hellenic Republic, succeeding Katerina Sakellaropoulou in the role.
