As the parliamentary elections in Kosovo and Metohija approach, it is vital for all citizens to ensure that the elections are held in an orderly, peaceful, and democratic manner. Despite existing differences, unity around our main interests is essential for our people in these challenging times.
These interests include the survival and security of our people, economic progress, and the preservation of our holy sites and cultural heritage. Adequate healthcare and education that values our language, culture, and traditions are also important aspects to consider.
The Church’s role is to unite and build bridges of cooperation with all people, irrespective of political conditions. It is crucial for the Serbian people in Kosovo and Metohija to identify trustworthy individuals who have contributed to the protection of human and religious rights and the sanctity of our sites.
The upcoming elections on February 9th must be conducted peacefully and with dignity. It is the responsibility of every citizen to elect representatives who best reflect the will of our people, despite differences. High voter turnout is essential to safeguard the fundamental interests and rights of the Serbian people and enhance the quality of life for current and future generations in Kosovo and Metohija.
