In response to the concerns of Pope and Patriarch Theodore II of Alexandria and All Africa regarding the health of Archbishop Anastasios of Tirana and All Albania, the Patriarch offered a prayer for his recovery after the Divine Liturgy on Friday morning, 23 January.
During his address to the members of the Patriarchal Court, the Patriarch commended Archbishop Anastasios for his contributions to the Patriarchate of Alexandria and spoke fondly of his impactful years of service in the mission in Kenya.
Following the Patriarch’s instructions, Metropolitan Georgios of Guinea and Archimandrite Joachim Skrekas visited the “Evangelismos” Hospital to meet with Bishop Theophilos of Kruja and discuss the Archbishop’s health. They conveyed the Patriarch’s well wishes and concern for the Archbishop’s health.
