On Tuesday, 21st January 2025, the feast of the Synaxis of the Holy Forerunner and Baptist John was celebrated at his Holy Monastery, located to the west of the banks of the Jordan River, as it flows towards the Dead Sea.
The service was led by Archbishop Methodios of Tabor, with the hospitality of the Hegumen and restorer of the Monastery, Archimandrite Bartholomew.
The Divine Liturgy was conducted by Archimandrite Evdokimos, the Spiritual Father of the Holy Monastery of Saint Sabbas.
Archimandrites Claudius and Christodoulos co-celebrated, along with the Lead Cantor, Deacon Eustathios Tsoumanis, and Monk Joseph chanting, while Nuns and pilgrims from Jerusalem and Jericho joined in prayer.
