While Archbishop Anastasios remains in critical condition after 20 days in the intensive care unit of Evangelismos Hospital, there has been no awakening despite the doctors’ efforts.
The Orthodox faithful in Albania have increased their prayers, holding Divine Liturgies, supplications to the Virgin Mary, and Holy Unction services across the country.
Youth are also actively involved, viewing the Archbishop as a loving and hopeful father figure.
Both Orthodox and non-Orthodox communities in Albania, as well as officials, are closely following updates on the Archbishop’s health with concern and anxiety.
Albanian media outlets, including television, radio, websites, and online platforms, regularly report on Archbishop Anastasios’ condition, reflecting the widespread interest in him even in a diverse religious society.
This interest is not coincidental but stems from the Archbishop’s ability to connect with people on a deep level, fostering understanding, tolerance, respect, and acceptance in the face of modern challenges.
