The new Ambassador of the Federal Republic of Germany to Ankara, Ms. Sibylle Katharina Sorg, paid a visit to the headquarters of the Ecumenical Patriarchate on Friday, January 10, 2025, following her recent assumption of duties.
During her visit, Ms. Sorg had a cordial meeting with His All Holiness Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew to discuss various topics of mutual interest. Also present at the meeting were Deacon Oikoumenios, Secretary of the Holy and Sacred Synod, and Mr. Constantinos Delikostantis, Professor Emeritus and Director of the First Patriarchal Office, both of whom are graduates of German universities.
