On Thursday, November 22, 2025, the newly appointed President of the National Council of Churches in Korea (NCCK), Metropolitan Ambrosios of Korea and Exarch of Japan, conducted a press conference at the Metropolis headquarters in Seoul.
In front of a substantial gathering of media representatives, the Metropolitan addressed a variety of inquiries regarding the role of Christian Churches in Korean society and strategies to tackle the current challenges it is facing. He outlined that his primary focus as NCCK president will revolve around the principles of “ministry (diakonia), unity, and climate change”. His Eminence underscored the significant contribution of the Ecumenical Patriarchate in raising global awareness about environmental protection.
Following the press conference, the journalists were led by Rev. Fr. Anthony Lim and Ms. Helen Hyewon Cho on a tour of the Cathedral of St. Nicholas, where they gained insights into the Orthodox Church.
