The scheduled visit of Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew to the Archdiocese of Athens, planned for today, Friday, November 22, at 12:00 PM, has been canceled, according to an official announcement by the Archdiocese of Athens.
The reason for the cancellation is a delay in the Ecumenical Patriarch’s flight, which has consequently postponed his arrival in Athens.
The Archdiocese’s statement reads as follows:
“Due to the delay of the flight of His Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew and, subsequently, his arrival in Athens, the scheduled visit to Archbishop Ieronymos of Athens and All Greece at 12 noon today, Friday, November 22, will not take place.”
Further updates regarding the rescheduling of the meeting, if any, are expected to follow.
