On Friday, November 22, 2024, a delegation from the Committee of Orthodox Churches in the European Union (CROCEU), led by Metropolitan Athenagoras of Belgium, visited Halki Theological School.
The delegation was warmly welcomed by the Abbot, Bishop Kassianos of Aravissos, in the Great Synod Hall of the School.
During his welcoming speech to the members of the pan-Orthodox delegation, the Abbot shared insights into the history of Halki Theological School, the ongoing renovation of its building complex, and the efforts being made towards its reopening.
The visitors had the opportunity to pay their respects at the Holy Trinity Chapel, explore the old classrooms and the historic library, and concluded their visit with a banquet held in their honor.
