On October 3, 2024, Metropolitan Epifaniy of Kyiv and All Ukraine met with Ukraine’s Minister of Culture and Strategic Communications, Mykola Tochytskyi, at the Metropolitan’s residence. Metropolitan Yevstratiy of Bila Tserkva also attended the meeting.
The discussions centered on combating efforts by the Russian aggressor to undermine Ukraine’s national identity and safeguarding the country’s cultural heritage. Both parties stressed the significance of ongoing cooperation between the government and the religious community to bolster societal unity, especially during times of conflict.
Furthermore, the conversation addressed the current religious landscape in Ukraine, with a specific focus on the collaborative efforts to counter the aggressive ideology of the “Russian world.”
