On Sunday, Metropolitan Andrei of Cluj and Archbishop Irineu of Alba Iulia consecrated the “Saint Michael the Archangel” Church in the Mărăști neighborhood of Cluj-Napoca.
During his sermon, Archbishop Irineu cautioned that the world is moving rapidly and without the fear of God, it is heading towards destruction.
He highlighted the increasing suffering and corruption in the world, attributing it to the rejection of the Kingdom of God and reliance on false idols and technology.
Archbishop Irineu stressed the importance of placing Jesus Christ at the center of all activities for true salvation and progress.
He concluded by emphasizing the need for a loving relationship with Christ to achieve meaningful accomplishments and secure a place in heavenly paradise.
The “Saint Michael the Archangel” Parish in Cluj-Napoca was founded in 2000, with the new church construction starting in 2004.
