The Church of Albania is mourning the loss of Thomas Dimas, a devoted servant of the Church for thirty years. Dimas served as a journalist, head of the press office, and editor-in-chief of the newspaper “Ngjallja.” He worked closely with Archbishop Anastasios and played a significant role in the revival of the Autocephalous Orthodox Church of Albania.
A funeral service was held on August 18, 2024, at the Church of the Annunciation in Tirana, where family, friends, and colleagues gathered to pay their respects. Archbishop Anastasios spoke highly of Dimas, praising his kindness, virtues, and unwavering dedication to the Church throughout his life.
