After eleven wonderful years of serving as the Rabbi of Kehillat New Hempstead, I recently made the difficult decision to step down from my position. It was a decision based on personal factors, and while it was challenging, I know it was the right choice for me at this time.
Being a rabbi is a role that comes with great responsibility and blessings. I have had the privilege of sharing Torah thoughts, celebrating joyous occasions, and connecting deeply with the members of the community. It has been a journey filled with growth, challenges, and meaningful relationships.
One of the most powerful aspects of being a rabbi is the relationship with the congregation. The congregants serve as guides and inspirations, pushing me to strive for greater knowledge and understanding. Their questions and insights have challenged me to delve deeper into Torah and to constantly seek new perspectives.
As I transition away from my role as Rabbi, I am filled with gratitude for the relationships that have been forged and the memories that have been created. While I am unsure of where my path may lead next, I know that the experiences and connections from my time at Kehillat New Hempstead will always hold a special place in my heart.
Thank you to the members of Kehillat New Hempstead for welcoming me into your community and allowing me to grow and learn alongside you. I am forever grateful for the opportunity to serve as your Rabbi.
