The tank landing ship “Chios” recently arrived in Alexandria, a city with a rich history of Hellenism influencing its development and culture. A special event was held to commemorate this momentous occasion, with many distinguished guests in attendance.
Captain Michail Tsiligakis, the Attaché of Defence of Greece in Cairo, extended invitations to various institutional representatives. Notable guests included Pope and Patriarch Theodore II of Alexandria and All Africa, accompanied by Metropolitan Narcissus of Pelusium, the Patriarchal Commissioner.
The Greek Community of Alexandria was well-represented by Secretary General Nikolaos Katsimpris, Vice President Nikolaos Kopelos, Director Georgios Boulos, and other community leaders.
