Emotions ran high as the Megalo Revma Community of Constantinople gathered to celebrate the Prophet Elijah at his Sacred Cemetery Church, where his miraculous Holy Water flows.
On July 19 and 20, numerous parishioners and pilgrims from different parts of the city came to pray devoutly to the Prophet, experiencing the love, hospitality, and care of the Megalo Revma community.
The divine services over the two days were led by Metropolitan Athenagoras of Kydonia, Archpriest of the Community, along with other clergy members.
The Feast of Prophet Elijah is a long-standing tradition of Megalo Revma, with all villagers participating. Following the church services, celebrants enjoyed festivities on the village hills, accompanied by music.
These cherished traditions are honored annually, as younger generations reflect on the past with hope for the future.
