Elder Metropolitan Emmanuel of Chalcedon is currently on a visit to Lithuania in response to a request from the Patriarchate. During his visit, he met with Patriarchal Exarch Hieromonk Father Ioustinos Kiviloo and the clergy of the Exarchate of the Ecumenical Patriarchate in Lithuania.
On Wednesday, 17 July, Metropolitan Emmanuel and Patriarchal Exarch Father Ioustinos had a meeting with the Prime Minister of Lithuania, Ms. Ingrida Šimonytė. The discussions, held in a friendly atmosphere, covered various issues related to the Exarchate of the Ecumenical Patriarchate and current affairs.
Elder Metropolitan Emmanuel expressed his gratitude to the Prime Minister and the Lithuanian Government for their support and interest in the Patriarchal Exarchate.
Prime Minister Šimonytė extended her thanks to Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew, the Holy and Sacred Synod of the Ecumenical Patriarchate, and personally to Elder Metropolitan Emmanuel of Chalcedon for the revival of the presence of the Mother Church in Lithuania.
