On Tuesday, July 16, 2024, Patriarch Theophilos of Jerusalem met with Bishop Spreafico Frosinone and the Director of the Australian Catholic University in Rome, Claudio Mario Betti.
During the meeting, Patriarch Theophilos discussed the liturgical, pastoral, conciliatory, and pacifying work of the Patriarchate, emphasizing the importance of following the principles of the Holy Bible from both the Old and New Testaments, especially during challenging times of war, globalization, and unfaithfulness.
Patriarch Theophilos presented Bishop Spreafico Frosinone with a silver painting of Jerusalem and offered a Patriarchal blessing to his entourage.
Accompanying the group was Franciscan Fr. Athanasios Makora, along with the Franciscan Capuchin monk Fr. Julius, who has been serving in Athens under the Capuchin order for several years.
Also present were Archimandrite Nektarios and Priest Lazaros of the Holy Metropolis of Fanariofersala, who, along with a group of pilgrims, helped organize the celebration of the Synaxis of the Holy Apostles in Tiberias.
