Patriarch Daniel of Bulgaria attended a reception at the American Embassy yesterday, at the invitation of A. Kenneth Merten, the Ambassador of the United States of America to Bulgaria. The event was held to celebrate the upcoming national holiday – Independence Day.
Ambassador Merten congratulated Patriarch Daniel on his election and assumption of office, along with other public figures and politicians, including the acting Prime Minister Dimitar Glavchev. The ceremony was attended by senior government officials, ambassadors, and other dignitaries.
